Colossal!! How else can you
describe Marrita's latest Bronze
sculpture on permanent public review at
the American Paint Horse Association.
A triumph to the eye of any beholder.
She continues to stun the art world
with some of the greatest larger than
life equine sculptures since Frederick
Remington.
The Realism is "awesome."
Marrita captures the form and
function of the horse as well as Zane
Grey captured the romance and beauty of
the American west.
Since she was a little girl moreover
for the past twenty-five years,
preceding her career as a sculptor she
pursued the life and career of a
professional horsewoman, showing and
riding for her business known as
McMillian Quarter Horses in Gainesville,
TX.
Her passion for sculpting begain in
1992 after visiting a number of
galleries in the Santa Fe area.
Upon returning to Gainesville, she began
working in clay and soon cast her first
bronze, which sold out immediately along
with several other sculptures.
Marrita's sculptures can be seen on
display at the American Quarter Horse
Hall of Fame & Museum, and other
locations throughout the United States.
